Dear ABC Unified School District Family:

My name is Ethan Leon Robinson, Sr. and I would like to introduce myself to you and ask for your support for my candidacy as an ABC Unified School District Board Member. I’m interested in becoming a Board Member of the ABC Unified School District because I feel compelled to escalate my continual reinvestment in this community, city, state, country and world. I have grown to accept the biggest impact any person can make, is to teach something to someone else, and I want to help continue the strong tradition our beloved district has established, while boldly helping it evolve to its next level.

I am a product of ABC Unified School District, and my educational experience within the MGM Program at Mary Bragg, Gonsalves, Carmenita and Cerritos High School gave me an amazing foundation. I went to the University of California at Berkeley on a full basketball scholarship, but I can proudly say I had already received an acceptance letter from Cal, when I signed my Letter of Intent. I want more children; my children; your children, all of the youth that matriculate through our fine district to have an opportunity to give a similar testimony. My enthusiastic, well reasoned, innovative and fresh ideas, feedback and input, will add to the collective asset that is the ABC Unified School District Board whose standards and achievements are exemplary.

My entire life experience and life style speak volumes as to what qualifies me for such an awesome position of responsibility as a Board Member. First, I’ve always held education sacred and acknowledge its impact on a student. During my tenure at Cal, I was fortunate enough to have had an opportunity to tutor both calculus and English before graduating with my Bachelor’s in Political Science in 1989. While working as a Judicial Assistant for the Los Angeles Superior Court, I began law school at night in 1996 and received a Juris Doctor in 2000 from Western State University College of Law. Even as a practicing attorney, I am a former member of the Adjunct Faculty at Western State University College of Law, and I continue to volunteer to judge the Moot Court competition. I love school and I try to help others find their love too. Nothing helps more than having the tools to be successful, and ABC Unified School District has provided those tools for many, many years. Read More
